Welcome to Walt Disney Elementary!
As the principal of Disney School, I am thrilled to work alongside our incredible students, families, and professional educators. Our school community welcomes around 380 students annually, from preschool to fifth grade. Our teachers collaborate with specialists, curriculum leaders, and special education staff to ensure that every student receives the highest level of learning. We also prioritize meeting each student's behavioral, social, and emotional needs. Building relationships with students and their families is crucial to our teaching approach. Our entire staff is committed to providing an excellent school experience for our students.
We aim to involve our families and community in various ways, from volunteering to providing fun family events. We want families to know they are crucial to the Disney School experience.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cindy Scharff
Dear Disney Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! My name is Mr. Tony Gentile, and I am the Administrative Intern at Disney. This will be my second year with Disney Elementary. I began teaching in January 2015 at La Vista West Elementary in Papillion La Vista Community Schools. I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. This will be my 11th year in education and my second year with Millard Public Schools. I am an Omaha native and earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I have a master's degree in improvement of instruction and another master's degree in educational leadership. I have a wife, Jess, and two daughters, Lily and Avery. I also have one dog, Dug. I love all things sports, especially Husker sports. I like to spend my free time with my family or playing golf. My first year at Disney was an incredible experience. I am so excited to have an opportunity to continue working with the amazing Dolphin family!
Sincerely,
Tony Gentile
