Introducing Mrs. Scharff & Mrs. Wunderlich

Hello!

My name is Cindy Scharff and I am the very proud principal of Disney Elementary.  Since starting at Disney, I have learned so much about the rich culture that makes it such a special place.  I  am honored to be the leader that will continue moving Disney students to their highest potential.

This is my 5th year as Disney’s principal.  Before coming to Disney,  I served as an interim principal, administrative intern, and special education teacher. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and have two Master’s degrees in Behavior Disorders from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Educational Leadership from Doane University. I also have my Education Specialist degree from Doane University. I am currently working on my Doctorate degree from Doane University.

My ultimate goal is to create a safe learning environment where students become the best version of themselves.  With the incredible staff we have at Disney, I know those amazing things are possible!

Please come to visit us any time.  We value the partnerships with families and community members and recognize that we cannot achieve our goals without their support.

Hi, Dolphins!

I am so excited to join the Disney Elementary team this school year! My name is Brittany Wunderlich, and I am the new administrative intern. This will be my third year in this role in Millard Public Schools, but it will be my first year as a Disney Dolphin. Prior to being at Disney, I was at Upchurch Elementary School for eight years in various roles such as the administrative intern, instructional facilitator, and third grade teacher.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State. I also have two master’s degrees. My first is in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Inclusionary Practices from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and my second is an Educational Leadership degree from Doane University.

While not at work I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have been married for five years and we met teaching during our first year. We also have a daughter, Shay, who brings us so much joy. In my spare time I also love doing yard work, running, and reading.

I have a passion for education and our goal is for students to love coming to school each and every day. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the students and their families at Disney this year!
